Moonlight: Covered Notepad Tutorial

Do you ever need a quick handmade gift,but don’t know what to make or don’t want to spend a lot of money? Think teacher gifts, an addition to a goodie bag, a shower favor or the like. I have the solution: mini covered notepads.  I picked up these cute 3 1/2″ x 5″ purple notepads from the office supply store. A pack of 5 was around $1- you can’t beat that price.

Here’s what to do:

1. Cut your card stock base (Hello Honey) to 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″.  Score at 1/4″ with the long edge at the top of your Stampin’ Trimmer or scoring tool.  Fold on score line and adhere scored section to the binding of notepad with Sticky Strip.
2. Cut Moonlight Designer Series Patterned paper to 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.  Adhere to card stock cover.
3. Stamp Tag Talk in Blackberry Bliss ink onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock.
4. Punch out “For You” and a coordinating scrap of Moonlight DSP.
5. Adhere punched tags to front of notepad with Dimensionals.

Friends Who Know… Everything

Yesterday I mentioned that theFriends Who Know stamp set looks great colored in between the lines so I am showing you an example today.

I went with a full on chalkboard look for this card, complete with a black card base.  The next layer is Pool Party, embossed with the Large Dot embossing folder, also new.  The Friends Who Know is stamped in Basic Gray and then I used Blendibilities to color in between the lines. I used Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler & Daffodil Delight, and it looks amazing!  It is bright and cheery and pops.

Friends Who Know Too Much

Friends Who Know is a brand new stamp set.  It matches the Label Framelits and will come in wood mount only. It has a fun, hand drawn chalkboard look. It looks great stamped in a solid color and it looks great colored in between the lines.

To recreate this card you will need Blackberry Bliss card stock, ribbon and ink and Flower Pot DSP.  You can quickly and easily whip out a batch of these cards for any reason- a note to a friend, an invitation for girls night out, or a birthday invitation!
