New Ways to Use the Traveler Stamp Set

Good Morning crafty ones!  I am back at it with the Traveler stamp set from the New Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog.  I stamped the images with Momento Ink and colored them in with the new Blendabilities Alcohol Markers from Stampin’ Up!  The Blendabilities markers used are Coastal Cabana, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.  These will be available for purchase in the fall.  Right now, demonstrators have the perk of preordering them and getting used to them as well as getting to know everything there is about them before we release them to you!  (Sounds like a reason to sign up, right?!- For ONLY $50)

The card base is Mossy Meadow, mounted on Black and the main images are stamped on Natural White. The Natural White cardstock has the texture of recycled paper and also has the flecks of color in it.  I love the earthy look about it.

This card is simple and stoic.

Spotlight on Masculine Stamp Set: Traveler

Aren’t you always grasping to find a masculine card or stamp set.  It can be difficult to pull together the write elements for a masculine card to look manly enough, especially if you are a lady trying to make a man’s card.  Well, with the NEW 2014- 2015 Annual Catalog came this great manly stamp set called Traveler. It has carefully drawn travel elements such as a globe, ship, locomotive train, passport, suitcase and camera. The stamps have that hand drawn sketched look about them.  They are truly detailed and unique.

To keep this card many, you will want to use the new In Colors Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow, coupled with Baked Brown Sugar.  The little images are 1.5″ and outlined with Mossy Meadow card stock.

Spring Catalog Sneak Peek

Masculine Birthday Card

 

I am always in search of the perfect masculine card.  This card does the trick. It features This and That Epic Day designer paper and with the color combo of Pool Party, Basic Gray, and Calypso Coral, it looks manly.  I embossed the gray stripe with the Houndstooth embossing folder.

Stampin’ Up! supplies:

• Oh, Hello stamp set
• Pool Party CS
• Basic Gray CS
• Whisper White CS scrap
• This and That Epic Day DSP
• Pool Party Ink
• Basic Gray Ink
• 1 3/4 ” scalloped circle punch
• 1 3/8″ circle punch
• Neutrals buttons
• Houndstooth embossing folder
• Big Shot
• Epic Day Washi Tape

 

 

Directions:

Emboss the gray card stock with Houndstooth embossing folder.

Cut a 3/4″ and 1/2″ strip of Epic Day DSP. Flag the ends with scissors.

Punch out Epic Day DSP scallop circle.

Stamp chevron pattern from Oh Hello on Whisper White scrap in Pool Party ink.  Stamp Oh, Hello in basic Gray over chevron.  Punch out Hello sentiment.

Adhere Gray strip. Stamp arrow print in Pool Party ink on Pool Party card stock.

Adhere flagged Designer paper & gray striped washi tape strip.  Adhere scalloped circle and Hello overlapping flags.

Embellish with a neutral button.
