I am playing along with the Paper Players PP146 challenge and this card hits the spot. Here is the theme- Manly Cards. Perfect! Everyone needs man cards, and they can be hard to come up with a design that is fitting. Click the sketch to check out the Paper Players website and participate in their challenges. Father’s day is right around the corner. Okay, well maybe not right around the corner, but with thoughts of father’s day, I made these manly birthday cards with the “Best Dad Ever” stamp set. They are simple, but stunning and can easily be made into “thinking of you”, “father’s day”, or the like.
Supplies:
- Naturals White (102316)
- Whisper White (100730)
- Natures Nest
- Best Dad Ever (120681)
- Basic Gray, Old Olive or Marina Mist CS and Ink
- Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)
I stamped Old Olive Ink with the Nature’s Nest stamp set on Whisper White cardstock, cut one inch squares, then cut 1 1/4 inch squares of colored card stock or in the card below, of Old Olive Designer Series Paper from the DSP Stacks. Popped up the stamped images with a dimemsional, stamped Happy Birthday from the Best Dad Ever stamp set, and done. It was easy, it was quick, and it looks stunning. I asked my husband which card he would most like, and this was the winner. There was no second thought, this card was perfect for a masculine, earthy look. The Naturals cardstock is amazing.

Participating in the challenges are a great way to get your creativity going, give a starting place for colors, themes or sketches, and see great ideas for the products you own, or what to own. For me, card challenges can open my eyes to a stamp set that I wasn’t sure I needed- it turns into a must have!
